Homophobe

Many people believe they are above the manipulation of organizations and believe their values are truly their own. A classic example of this is homophobia. Men hate gays but ask them to explain it and they'll probably say "It's sick" or "It's gross." Both intelligent arguments that really get to the root of their fear. Trying to get a legitimate reason for their fear of gays is like trying to get a straight answer from a politician. It just doesn't happen. Why is there this overwhelming fear and subsequent hatred of gays among American, and the world's, males? The answer is simple: christianity.

Many people not religiously affiliated believe themselves steadfastly opposed to the values of the church. However, being anti-gay is among the church's biggest issues. They push it repeatedly on their shows and in their scripture. They repeatedly push the message of hating gays on the public. Now those who think of themselves as liberated from the mindless yoke of religion have to ask themselves one question. Do you hate gays? If so then you are just another puppet. Where does your hatred stem from? Have you ever even known a gay person? Rather you are another victim of the anti-gay propaganda the church has been spewing for years.

There is no logical reason for your hatred. You like girls they like boys, what's the problem? The problem is that you've been conditioned by the male culture which has, in turn, been conditioned by the religious leaders to be homophobic. Can you explain your hatred? Chances are you can't come up with anything cleverer than the excuses above. The reason is that your fear is programmed. You were raised since a young lad to believe that being gay was the worst thing you could be, a mortal sin punishable by eternal damnation. If your friends made fun of you they called you a fag and that was the worst insult. Where do you think this fear originates from? religion! There is no logical to fear gays. The reason you fear them is because you have been taught to, same for racism, same for sexism. You don't become that way unless someone teaches you to be.

religion is teaching us to hate people that are no different except for their sexual orientation. Their hatred is consuming the minds of children to believe that they should beat up someone because they don't like girls. They are no different. The only difference is that we've been taught to fear them by the patriarchal religious right. So if you think you are a "liberated" mind remember that your values were taught to you and what you hold so dear may be exactly what the religious leaders intended.
